CALENDAR NOTES

This year I will determine weather-related cancellations by 2:00 pm on the day of scheduled classes.  Please check the studio answering machine, WHAI, or the website.  Holidays, vacations, and schedules will be posted on the website (see Key Dates).  I will also post this information in the hallway.  All order forms for registration, shoes, and apparel can be found in both places as well.

PAYMENTS

All tuitions must be paid by the FIRST OF THE MONTH.  I thank you in advance for your cooperation and timeliness.  Costumes must be paid in full by November 1st.  I will only order costumes for dancers who are paid up to date.  Tuition and/or costume payments are non-refundable.  In the event of an extenuating circumstance, refunds will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

PLACEMENT

I have two different programs for dancers, both will provide a well-rounded dance education.  “Steps” are considered recreational dance classes.  I group these classes by age.  I recommend “Steps” for any dancers who may have multiple activities outside of school.  Junior, and Senior Dancers are grouped by age, ability, and previous dance experience.  Dancers in Company classes must dance at least twice a week, and are required to take ballet class.  These classes are for truly committed dancers and are taught at such a level for me to make attendance a must.

MISSING CLASS

Please call the studio to let me know when your child will not be in class.

DRESS CODE

There is a dress code for everybody at Dance Fever.   Boys should wear loose comfortable pants or shorts.  Jeans should not be worn. Appropriate attire for girls is a leotard and tights.  They, as well as their instructors, need to see their bodies to correct posture, technique, and alignment.  Dancers may wear skirts, dance shorts, or dance pants on top of the leotard and tights.  Hair must be secured neatly off the face in a  braid, bun or ponytail.  Ballet shoes must be worn for ballet class.  Tap shoes must be worn for tap class.  Jazz shoes are recommended for jazz class.  Hip hop and cheer may wear sneakers, however, they must be exclusively worn in the studio, and never outside.
